Not only is podo the name of a puppy, it's a simpler and easier number system than the one we've been using since Hindu Arabic Numerals superceded Roman Numerals!
Why would an average Aussie decide to create a better number system and completely new way of learning and doing basic maths? Well, back in 1983 I was in an accident and was told by a surgeon "If you move you may never walk again."
So as I lay in bed, I made a deal with God. If I could walk again and have children, I'd do something absolutely amazing with my life to help others. And perhaps because I'd once hated amd failed maths, that 'something absolutely amazing' was to help children learn and love numbers!
I did regain my health (a miracle in itself) and I'm the proud father of three children. Yet I always intended to keep my side of the deal I made while in a hospital emergency ward.
That's why after 27 years of development, I've been able to create a fun, easier, simpler and better number system!
